The MSE Charity respects the privacy of our applicants and donors, Privacy and personal information security is very important to us. The MSE Charity is a non profit, charitable organisation aimed at fighting financial and consumer illiteracy and is dedicated to educating and informing adults and children about consumer and debt issues.
The MSE Charity policy is that it does not disclose, give, sell, share or transfer its applicants or donors personal information with anyone, except with the express written consent of the applicant or donor.
The MSE Charity use Google Docs to process its online information. This is a most secure and well respected way of transferring information on the internet.
Donations made through Just Giving, PayPal and Google Checkout are subject to their respective privacy and security policies.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. As a result, while we try to protect your personal information, The MSE Charity cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. When we collect your personal information we use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.

The Way We Use Information:
We use the information you provide about yourself to enable the Grant Application Panel (GAP) to arrive at a decision, and for administration purposes. The personal information relating to individuals: your name, address, email and fax and phone number are only known to the operations manager, the treasurer and the technical website manager, but you will only be contacted by the Operations Manager.
Information relating to constituted groups may be shared, by agreement with group, with other organisations or funders to eliminate dual funding or where it is considered to be of practical benefit to the group itself.
A cookie is a small text file we pass to your computer's hard disk through your web browser so the website remembers who you are when you return.
We use a type of cookie called a "persistent" cookie. These cookies store information between visits. For example, if you tick the 'Remember me' box your email address and password is saved in a cookie on your computer. This means next time you log on to the site you will not need to re enter those details. Child safety is important to us. We do not collect personal information from people under the age of 18 though information such as name or age and relationship to the applicant may form part of an application for under 18 year olds. In this case the information is kept to a minimum. No one from The MSE Charity will directly contact and communicate with anyone under the age of 18. All contact will be through their appointed sponsor. If personal information given via our website shows a visitor is a child, we will not allow the child to continue to give personal information and any personal information given will be deleted from our records.
